Our lovely, custom burlap tote bags are fully lined and handmade using recycled coffee sacks. Current tote bag styles include a standard tote, a crossbody, and a shopper-style bag. Please email us at [email protected] to see which bags we have available.

Producer's note on the hand-painted Nicaraguan bags: The paintings on these coffee bags were done by hand, without the use of stencils, by local artists in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. These artists, who were previously out of work, were employed by direct-trade social enterprise Gold Mountain Coffee Growers for this project. Gold Mountain has already begun next year's bags. Gold Mountain Coffee Growers fights poverty through coffee quality, bringing coffee directly from their farm and partner producers to the doorsteps of roasters. The partnership between Gold Mountain Coffee Growers of Nicaragua and Mills Coffee of Rhode Island has created hundreds of jobs and increased income in rural areas in the highest mountains of Nicaragua.
